Now a successful salon owner and instructor for Sindy Mark’s Nail Art Academy, Starr overcame a life once rife with drugs, prison, and hardship. We caught up with Starr to find out how she left her old life behind to attain her dreams.

I was honored to be asked to judge Nailympia USA for its debut at Premiere Orlando.
For NTNA S. 7 Pre-Challenge 2, sponsored by Swarovski, contestants were asked to create wearable nail art inspired by Swarovski’s Nail Art Report. The report identified three nail art wearing personas including The Crystal Lover, The Color Freak, and The Style Setter. Swarovski chose at random which competitor would be inspired by which persona for the challenge. This is Trina Wright's entry.
