INM’s Jimmy the Swan came to life this past year in a series of animated shorts. Now it’s the contestants’ turn to make nail art come alive. The Top 4 were asked to create a fantasy nail art tip that has at least one movable component. The animated portion of the nail must be INM–related.The votes will be combined with our judges scores, the winner will receive a $500 gift certificate from INM, and one artist will be eliminated.

Here's a 10-minute recap of NAILS Next Top Nail Artist: Season 2. We selected 24 semi-finalists for our second annual NAILS Next Top Nail Artist competition. The field was narrowed down to our Top 12 after two pre-challenges. For 10 weeks in September 2014, we gave our finalists a new challenge each week to showcase their skills in creating nail art looks based on a theme created by NAILS and each of our weekly sponsors (Bio Seaweed Gel, CND, Dashing Diva, Entity Beauty, Gel II, Gelish, INM, It’s So Easy, Orly International, SuperNail, and Young Nails). In addition to creating their nail art masterpieces, NAILS Next Top Nail Artist contestants shot step-by-step tutorials, video demos, and shared their entries via social media.

Fill them in.3. In a light pink, paint two small ovals where the cat's cheeks would be.4. Using a dotting tool, dot two even eyes with black polish.5. Paint a triangle for the cat's nose.6. Paint an upside-down "m" for the kitty cat's mouth.7. Paint two diagonal lines toward her nose for her whiskers on both sides.8. With a light pink, paint in some detail with two small triangles inside the cat's ears.9. Add white pupils by painting small circles inside the cat's eyes.10. Add top coat.
