Congratulations to the winners of the Handpainted Nail Art category (whose theme was "Paris by Night"), and the 3-D Nail Art winners (whose theme was "Vampires").
The first-ever Next Top Nail Artist had some pretty stiff competition. So we decided to bring the final three competitors to Long Beach to challenge them one last time and crown the ultimate winner.
Nail artists created fantasy works of art using a combination of professional nail products in the Multimedia Nail Art competition at the 6th Global Nail Cup held in Seoul, Korea.
We asked our Top 3 to give us a report on designer Johnson Hartig of Libertine. Here is Lavette Cephus'.
We gave 10 innovative nails techs a hodge-podge of items and instructed them to create five nail tips using only the items in their box full of goodies. As you can see, all came away with different creations using exactly the same materials.
The Best Lil' Nail Show Texas took place April 1-3 in Houston. Attendees also had the chance to compete in Nailympia USA, a nail competition held at the show between March 31 to April 3.
Here's a 10-minute recap of NAILS Next Top Nail Artist: Season 2. We selected 24 semi-finalists for our second annual NAILS Next Top Nail Artist competition. The field was narrowed down to our Top 12 after two pre-challenges. For 10 weeks in September 2014, we gave our finalists a new challenge each week to showcase their skills in creating nail art looks based on a theme created by NAILS and each of our weekly sponsors (Bio Seaweed Gel, CND, Dashing Diva, Entity Beauty, Gel II, Gelish, INM, It’s So Easy, Orly International, SuperNail, and Young Nails). In addition to creating their nail art masterpieces, NAILS Next Top Nail Artist contestants shot step-by-step tutorials, video demos, and shared their entries via social media.
NAILS and CND name the Top 12 contestants who will go on to compete in NTNA S. 7, beginning February 2020.
Applications came in from around the globe as the only online nail art competition for professionals asked to see the best that the industry had to offer. Many answered the call, but only 24 semi-finalists could be chosen.
