Wow, Jill, this roadmap is a great way to keep track of your progress. We can really see how to plan ahead to make the most of the promotion. I use my Jump Journal to keep track of my offerings on the offering track pages included with my journal, but that doesnt count how many I have sold. The sheets have helped me to keep count of the promotions I am offering, or the goals I am working towards. Though I can see how much more in depth your roadmap is in planning ahead. I will use the roadmap format for the next salon promotion we run. I am excited to see how I can keep track of my promotions sold and not just the offerings.
We are currently working on referrals throughout the salon. We have decided to make it a team contest for the service providers. The team with the most improved percentage of referrals by the first of March wins a dinner and night at a bed and breakfast. The client who refers a friend is also entered to win a basket of product goodies and an iPod shuffle.
Rachael and I are using our Jump Journals to write down the clients’ names for that day on the back of our business cards with a $10-off offer for the new client. Then when we see that client during the day, we hand them the cards and explain the contest and prize. We also explain that even if the person they refer cannot come in before March 1 they will still recieve a thank you for their referral. Once the referred person comes in to use the card we not only enter the client to win the basket but we send them a thank you card with their own referral reward.
So far the contest is going well. We are seeing an increase in referrals across the board and all are getting to meet new clients. I will let you know how it goes.
