Meanwhile, Vicki’s Nail Those Profits at Sea Cruise began January 17th and honored the cruise’s founder with a tribute. Somewhere north of Haiti, rose petals and glitter were scattered, along with some of Vicki’s ashes, out into the Caribbean so that she would “always be sailing.” This was the 23rd year of the cruise, which brought “Navigators” (cruise veterans) and newcomers together. Cruise member Karen Hodges summed Vicki’s contributions up: “Anyone who was ever in Vicki’s presence found their career enhanced. Quick thinking. Practical. Salt of the earth. Generous. Loves nail techs. Pulls no punches. Says it like it is. All are terms used to describe one of the most beloved industry members. That’s how she rolled. And it’s how she sailed, too.”
