Yes Jill, Facebook is an awesome way to let your clients know what is happening in your salon. For instance yesterday we had a makeup party in the salon and we are going to post photos of the event today. It was a private party so we did not post prior to the event so we didn't confuse clients by making it seem like an open-to-everyone event. It was really fun.
I recently assisted in an International Educator Training for Hand and Nail Harmony. It was amazing. Twenty-four countries were represented and over 120 people there — all of them greatly talented and passionate about our industry. It was the first training of its kind in Harmony's new training facility. Let me just say it was a wonderful set up. A lot of thought went into that room. There were flat screen TVs on all of the walls of the room hooked up to the video feed of the live demonstrations. You can sit anywhere in the room and be able to see clearly what is on the screen. The training was four days of intense education and it was capped off by a celebration.
We got to have dinner with Frontier Mickey at Disneyland! We ended the training early the last day and shuttled everyone over to Disneyland. We all wore T-shirts with the Gelish logo so everywhere in the park we could see our trainees. We each had a couple of hours to play before we had a catered group dinner. Then we were able to stay until the park closed. The fireworks themselves were awesome! It was so much fun.
Thank you Harmony for the amazing training and the special trip to the happiest place on earth.
I have photos all over my Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook of the whole training and Disney after. Now I just need to share some of them with the salon’s Facebook page to let everyone know what new training I have and new adventure I have been on. I am so excited to put some of the tips I learned into use. Then I can post those photos to all of the social networking sites I use as well as the salon’s.
