With the holiday season just a few short weeks ahead, how can one turn those new clients into lifelong relationships? Adrienne has spent this past year setting up relationships with not only new clients, but also with all the salon staff.
Those relationships will not only keep her in clients’ minds when it comes to gift giving this holiday season, but also when it comes to the front desk’s responsibility in upselling and recommending services. Adrienne has been somewhat promoted to becoming the trainer and facilitator of Hair, Body & Sole’s front desk training program. This program, called “Top Gun Front Desk Training” through Inspiring Champions, is designed to have those in the front desk position seen as income producers.
This is done by understanding that not only could Adrienne’s client rebook for a manicure in two weeks, but how about an eyebrow wax, haircut, paraffin, etc.? By having a constant pulse on the appointment book and a complete understanding of who needs to be filled in and what services could be placed there, the entire salon benefits.
Adrienne has jumped at the chance to complete the training with any new front desk staff. And why not? So many times I hear techs say that the front desk just doesn’t know how to book them, but they never take the time to teach the staff to serve them best. It’s time to take some personal responsibility in setting up your appointment book and what services you perform.
It’s the perfect opportunity with the busy holiday season to have everyone on board in cross marketing each other, and each service. New clients will know to take part in all the salon offers, and existing clients may notice a service previously overlooked.
