Isn’t it exciting to become a part of a new salon family? There’s always so much to learn from each other. There’s always so much to share. Now that Adrienne has settled into her new salon family, she can’t wait to share not only this blog, but everything she’s learned this past year.
For any of you who have made a salon move, you know this excitement can also be a little dicey. During our last conversation, Adrienne had shared that her new family had not experienced some of the business techniques she has been taught. What a position to be in! On the one hand, Adrienne has seen the fruits of her efforts over this past year to keep motivated in moving toward her goal of a full clientele. On the other hand, since her new co-workers don’t have the past 11 months of learning under their belts, she could be seen by some as over the top.
Now is the time for Adrienne to lead by example. Now is the time for her to be put to the test. Do these techniques really work? Can someone really start over, reinvent themselves and their clientele? Can it be so simple, so duplicatable that she could teach all her new family by them following her lead? Yes!
Adrienne has begun by sharing with the front desk how she prefers to be rebooked. A simple task that affects so much! By spending some time to educate your front desk employees, think of the mistakes that can be avoided. She has also been developing a system of rebooking those coming in for spa parties. I love developing incentives to come in, and for coming back a second time. A great suggestion is to offer a program discounting those who set up standing appointments!
Adrienne has bee tracking daily, as well as using her scripts for up selling. Her retail is climbing. Her clients are rebooking and her paycheck is growing. Her co-workers hopefully will continue to be more and more interested in what she’s learned so that they all can grow together. Just think where 2009 can take this young salon. Just think where their journey can go!
