Orlando is just days away and it is time to get serious about packing. I have a basic list that is good for Salon Success and Sculptured Nail; so that is where I’ll start. Some things I consider when packing:

Are my tools and equipment in good working order?

Do I have all my products and are the containers full of product and properly labeled?

Have I made a list of supplies and products I need and ordered them in plenty of time?

My first year of competition I only entered Salon Success and/or Mirror Image so my basic list met my needs. Now, as I am trying out other categories, my list is growing. Packing an entry for Fantasy Nail Art is a little scary. I will die or at least feel like it if something happens to it on the way there. Then there is French Twist. Being new to the category; I find myself starting out with a design that is too complicated then having to simplify…simplify…simplify to get something that can be completed in the allotted time frame.  At times it can be overwhelming trying to juggle salon, home, and competition especially with Orlando and Vegas so close together but I enjoy the challenge of competition and it is always great to see all my wonderful friends.

So back to my basement kitchen area that looks more like a supply store so I can lay out my products and get them safely packed for the trip to Orlando. That is where I do most of my packing, organizing and most of all where I practice design work, smile lines and build my first Fantasy Nail Art entry. That manicure table has seen many a success and failure and if manicure tables could talk…

Wishing everyone a wonderful day,
