Since we are finishing up with this fitness series, I thought I would take a step back and give an update on the new tech in our salon and how her business has grown since she started in February. Now remember this young woman came back to us after being in Maui for a couple of years. However as I previously posted she had to start over and had grown her business by quite a bit in a short amount of time thanks to Jill’s business building suggestions — the Business of the Weekand the Gift Bag Drop.
As I mentioned, her first month’s numbers broke down like this: 36 total guests, 13 repeat requests, two new guests were referred to her, and she performed a total of 58 services. That had nearly doubled by the next month and has seen steady growth since then. Fast forward a couple of months, in May she saw a total of 88 guests, 43 of them were repeat requests, five of them referrals for a total of 149 services. Wow, just by using the suggestions that Jill has made we have seen a huge jump in her guest count.
Since I always share with her what Jill and I are blogging about she has had a front row seat to the changes I am trying to make in my business and she is following suit. You can see how successful she is by her total number of services, which means she is upgrading just about every guest and for a good portion of them she is upselling them two add-on services. I am so proud of her and she is doing an amazing job.
Even though I have a fairly full clientele I have seen growth by using these. My numbers have increased dramatically. For instance, in February I saw a total of 103 guests, 94 repeat requests, three referrals, and 196 total services. In May my guest count was 136, 121 repeat requests, five referrals, and 237 services. It was amazing; I upgraded everyone and then some. It took a couple of weeks to implement the changes that were suggested but as you can see it has been a smashing success. By using these techniques you too can make your business explode.
