For those of you old enough to remember the crazy tumble that skier had and amazingly lived to tell about it — well I can relate — in a nail artist kind of way.

As crazy as it seems, the Nail Competition World can take its toll like that too.

A new season of nail competition is about to begin with the artists ready and at their mark, and I’m excited about this year.

Some of you new competitors might not know that there are seasoned competitors who are available as mentoring coaches to help show you the ropes of what to expect in competing.

Experienced nail artists, such as myself, do offer training, and you can arrange for this well before the first event.

The coaches can help new competitors with techniques, getting good hand models, making travel arrangements, and even helping them with things like time management and emotional preparation.

Making the choice to become a novice nail competitor is a great opportunity for you to learn because you get to watch it directly from the masters, and most veterans are willing to share tips and tricks and would even be interested in mentoring.

As the season begins, I am excited to see how the players and teams line up and I wish good luck to ALL of us with our gruelling “sport” this year. I hope to see you in the ring or maybe for a curtain call.
