All Fun & Games: Who Won and Who’s Packing Up Their Paintbrushes

Congratulations to Sarah Elmaz for winning the second challenge of season three! The judges’ faces lit up at seeing her glowing tribute to Jumanji.

Akzentz guest judge Gina Silvestro said, “The dice looked so realistic I would have thought they were from the game box, had I not seen the excellent step-by-step you provided. And your polymer clay technique was genius, as well as the balloon and the LED light. I was also impressed by the fact that you used all gel for your artwork and details, even though acrylic paint was allowed.”

 

NAILS editor Erika Kotite said, “Jumanji centerpiece with LED light is genius!  Loved Sarah’s choices: matte finish on nails, distressed dice, and well-executed game pieces.”

 

NAILS senior editor Beth Livesay remarked, “The lighted path and LED center piece puts this over the top. So creative in both choice and execution!”

 

Other judges gushed that this look was “Amazing,” “Exciting,” and “Precise.”

Sarah will receive the ultimate Akzentz nail artist prize package as well as an opportunity to work with Akzentz on a future project.

 

 

The nail tech who is packing up her paintbrushes this week is … Sherri Traweek. Sherri impressed the judges this week with her clean, precise, and personal set. Unfortunately, she had to withdraw from the competition. We’re sad to see Sherri go and we wish her nothing but the best.
