The 5th Annual Premiere Beauty Show held August 21-22 in Orlando, Fla., was tough for the nail competitors. More than 50 nail competitors vied for medallions and cash prizes of up to $500. Approximately 5,200 visitors came to the two-day show. Successful nail competitors Trish Phelan and Tim Farquhar assisted at the show, and Vicki Peters was the competition coordinator.
“I got started doing nails through my mother, Sandra Bauer, who has been doing nails for almost 30 years now. I always watched my mother work, and I was always fascinated with nails,” saysSheilie Lucke, a German nail technician profiled this month.
