I met my future salon coach as I was about to throw in the towel on my nail career. I was living in Florida at the time and frustrated with my first job as a tech,
Anna Maria Paty faced disaster when her Florida salon was destroyed by a hurricane. The salon not only survived, but went on to thrive and grow due to the efforts of Paty and her many supporters.
While in Orlando for the premiere Show, I decided to venture outside of my normal routine and get a pedicure. After all, I figured the weather would be warm enough to wear sandals, and if that was going to be the case, my feet needed to look decent.
Salon Cielo provided a peaceful escape in Orlando for associate editor Erin Barajas and editor Hannah Lee.
In a year marked by fewer competitions than in past years, veteran and novice competitors had to make their participation in every event count.
I recently attended the Premiere Beauty Show in Orlando, Fla., where I attended the first annual NailTech Internet Breakfast.
Hopefully, when we say the words Non-Standard Salon or NS salon, someone will pay attention to the problem instead of the words used.
