Out of This World Design: Cosmic Nails is a single studio inside Sola Salons, Charlotte, N.C. Because it’s a salon suite, owner Julie Nguyen is really conscious about the layout and how it affects the space.
Nail techs Ellegra Davis and Nicole Rios specialize in nail art that is truly outside of the box.
The salon is comprised of 19 individual salon “studios,” each individually owned by a salon professional.
Faced with the prohibitive costs of starting a business mixed with a desire for independence, some nail techs are turning to salon suites. These so-called “beauty malls” offer upwardly mobile techs a stepping stone between employee and salon owner.
Each area in the Greenhouse Day Spa's Suites features upholstered seating a miniature TV set, and a whirlpool bath enabling clients to receive both treatments in the same spot.
