It’s a good feeling when weeks of planning come together satisfactorily. In this case, the cover story and concept for the February issue: The article was completed, the cover design was finalized and film from the photo session was “in the can.”
San Francisco-based nail artist Sonia “G” Molina honored Eryka Badu, the inspiration behind many of her creative works, in her winning nail portrait. Take a look at Badu and the other famous faces commemorated by this year’s contest participants.
The City of Hope Gala featured the presentation of the Spirir of Life Award as well as a special performance by Michael Bolton.
Sarah Kay Abbott won this year’s contest with her portrait of classic rap artist Tupac. The contest received entries representing a variety of stars, from musicians David Bowie and Nipsey Hussle to characters such as Moira Rose and Wonder Woman.
