After 10 grueling weeks of competing, three talented ladies are putting their best nails forward in the final challenge. On January 25 at ISSE Long Beach, one of these artists will be crowned NAILS Next Top Nail Artist.
Meet Jessica Hood, one of the Top 13 Finalists in Season 10 of our Next Top Nail Artist competition!
For NTNA S. 7 Pre-Challenge 1, sponsored by Swarovski, contestants were asked to choose an emotion and bring it to life on five nail tips. The completed design should have some 3-D element on it. Here is Ilona Vasiliauskiene’s entry.
Alecia Mounixay (Wilmington, NC) creates a 3-D design on a single nail tip using a variety of nail products based on a "music" theme. "I used white hard gel for the base of the nail and various neon gel-polishes that faded in the background, lightly dusted with glitter and capped twice with clear gel-polish top coat to give it more depth. I handpainted the word music with little notes. I used white acrylic powder to make the music notes and painted them with gel-polish before applying them to the music lines that surrounded the nail with wire base. This was also capped with black acrylic and gel. The face was made with white gel-polish to give it life and painted with acrylic paint for fine detailed lines."

The report identified three nail art wearing personas including The Crystal Lover, The Color Freak, and The Style Setter. Swarovski chose at random which competitor would be inspired by which persona for the challenge. This is Kelsey's entry.
