Step-by-step by Brenda Skermont, AbFab Salon and Spa, Rockford, Ill.

1. Apply IBD Glistening Green gel to the entire nail. Cure.

2. Draw a pot using IBD Radium gel. Flash cure. Create a rainbow using red, yellow, blue, and violet gels. Use a fine art brush to lightly blend the colors. Cure for three minutes.

3. Dip your brush in clear gel, then gold glitter, and apply the mixture to the upper and lower areas of the pot. Flash cure.

4. Use black gel to accent the pot’s rim and outer edges. On the sides, blend the black into the gray. Flash cure. Apply clear finish gel. Cure for three minutes.
