Marc Jacob’s Louis Vuitton show, Paris

Twelve supermodel “nurses” opened the Marc Jacob’s Louis Vuitton show in translucent plastic trenches and CND’s Company Red. The Spring collection featured an array of bright pastels and varied fabric combinations, and CND custom-mixed colors for the runway — like a dove gray, mustard yellow, sage, and an intense orange — to match. CND’s vibrant Hot Pop Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Pink provided bursts of color that stood out through the netting of gloved hands carrying Richard Prince-inspired LV handbags.

Orly partnered with ready-to-wear label Petro Zillia, known for its playful look at high fashion, during L.A. Fashion Week. The Spring collection featured bright, sassy looks in flowing, plush fabrics. All the models wore

Orly's Glitz polish on their fingers and toes, which complemented their knee-high Roman gladiator boots and golden platform heels. The glittery gold shade was a perfect accent to the show’s fun, ’70s vibe.

China Glaze partnered with contemporary line Tart later in the week to create a nude pantyhose look on the nails by applying the company’s III, then topping it with Gilded Treasures. “These models looked incredible before they walked the runways,” says nail tech Melissa Bozant, who worked the show.

New York Fashion Week, New York City

CND partnered with such hot designers as BCBG, L.A.M.B., Marchesa, DKNY, Milly, and Jayson Brunsdon during New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2008. What will glamorous women go for on their nails in the Spring? The trends were pastel tints (like lip gloss for nails), bright pops of hot pink, and dark nails for dressy events.
