”Each Mini is different and has its own personality.”

“I’m a manicurist and a Mini-curist,” says Dee Feintuch, owner of Phoenix’s Aquanail salon and treasurer of the Dynamic MiNi Collective, an Arizona-based Mini Cooper car club. Feintuch’s love affair with the Mini Cooper began with her dad. “I’ve been into Minis since I was 10 because my dad has an original classic Mini from 1965,” she explains. “I just fell in love with the little car. It was so speedy and could fit in small places. On TV and in movies they were always zooming around getting away from the bad guys.”

Her own Mini is a 2004 model she calls Nugget. “It’s gold with a black roof and chrome wheels,” she says. “Each Mini is different and has its own personality. You can order them to your specific wants and needs. With so many choices, no two are exactly alike.”

The car club has more than 150 members, says Feintuch. “We get together two or three times a month for driving and social events. Sometimes it’s a trip to another town in Arizona via a curvy road or a pizza night in town.”

Her enthusiasm for the Mini has spawned an additional sideline. With boyfriend Scott, another Mini fan, she’s started coopercards — it’s tagline: “greetings for Mini occasions.” “I do the artwork (I’m finally using that art degree) and he takes care of the other business. We currently have 30 designs including birthday cards, holiday wishes, and thank yous,” she says.

“I love my nail career, I love my Mini, and now I love my coopercards. The boyfriend is OK too,” she adds cheerily. You can check out coopercards at coopercards.blogspot.com.
