During Spring 2003 Fashion Week, Los Angeles, Orly international teamed up with Angeleno Magazine to present the nail manufacturer’s new spring Year in Rocks color collection. “We put this fashion show together so it could focus on the nails,” says Orly’s Shel Pink. “Instead of the nails just being plain and an afterthought, we designed the show around the polish collection.”

Models dressed in sexy Nina Ben lingerie and dripping in gems, rocked the runway with custom-designed, funky nails — a different design for each month of the year. The event, held at the Chaz Dean Studio in Hollywood, also included a mini-Fred Segal shopping boutique and manicures from Orly nail professionals. Cecily Carrington, Orly’s new spokesperson, created more than 150 nail tips with the birthstone-inspired collection for the models to wear at the show.
