Gino Forlin, founder and president of Amoresse Laboratories, passed away on August 18. Forlin’s professional contributions to the industry were numerous, as were the lives he touched and the people he mentored.

Prior to his founding of Amoresse Laboratories in 1991, Forlin had been a respected beauty industry member for more than 30 years and knew all aspects of the business: He was a salon owner, a nationally acclaimed cosmetology school owner, and owner and operator of GAR Laboratories, a full-service, private label contract packaging and manufacturing company.

“Gino was my very good friend for 18 years,” says Tony Cuccio, CEO and president of Star Nail Products. “He was very helpful to me when I was getting Star Nail started and again when he owned GAR Labs. If it wasn’t for Gino, the industry wouldn’t be where it is today. I am very sorry for his passing because he was one of the nicest men I knew.”

In business, Forlin’s philosophy was simple, but important: have integrity in all things, establish long-term relationships, and provide the customer with the ultimate in service. These fundamental principles brought him success in all that he did.

Services were held August 23 and 24 in Riverside, Calif. He is survived by his wife Alice, his son Gino Robair (Rob), his daughter-in-law Laura, and his beloved granddaughter Isabelle. In lieu of flowers, the Forlin family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, The Gino Forlin Fund, 7130 Magnolia Ave., Ste. T, Riverside, CA 92504, or call (909) 683-6415.
