The popularity of fimo cane nail art extends around the globe, as evidenced by these creative entries in the Aussie Nail Tips Forum’s Fimo Nail Competition. The forum (www.nailtips.com.au), an online resource for Australian nail techs, held the competition to promote Toni Ransfield, the site’s “favorite fimo clay artist,” who creates custom fimo cane designs to suit the website members’ needs, says webmaster Georgina Kuhnast. The entries were judged on embedding technique, overall quality (good smile lines, etc.), creativity in using the fimo, and making the fimo the focus of the nail. (Ransfield’s fimo canes can be purchased at www.exclusivedesignz.com.)

1st: Sarah Jane Ram (New Zealand)
