Celebrity nail tech Tom Bachik created these monochromatic gold nails for our December cover. Recreate our cover look with these easy steps.

Tom put a modern spin on the 1920s-inspired almond nail. After converting the almond nails into a delicate point, he polished them with Essie's Shifting Power and placed matching rhinestones on the nails for a flawless party look.

Here's how you can do these nails:

1. Prep natural nails and apply tips. Shape tips and prepare nails for product application.

2. Apply clear, pink, or natural liquid and powder or product of your choice. Redine the shape with a 180-grit file and buff.

3. Seal and shine with a gel top seal -- cure for specified length.

4. Polish with two coats of gold polish and apply top coat.

5. Use a fel adhesive to apply rhinestones in a sporadic pattern starting from the middle finger and dripping downward onto the others.
