Paint the entire nail in three metallic paints: copper, gold, and yellow-gold.

Paint in the base of the flower, leaf, and area to be checked with white paint.

Paint in all the areas: the gold petals, the burnt sienna center, the medium green leaf, and the black-and-white-checked side.

Shade the leaf in a darker green using a side-loaded brush. Paint in the veins of the leaf with a lighter green. Brush on a top coat — first with a thin coat, then with a thick coat.
