Onychogryphosis is a condition in which the nail curvature is increased and enlarged; the nail becomes thicker and curves, sometimes extending over the tip of the finger or toe; this condition results in inflammation and pain if the nail grows into the skin; the cause of this disorder is unknown. Sometimes called "ram's horn."
