The Truth About Acetone

Cosmopolitan’s Beauty Q&A asks: Is acetone nail polish remover really that bad? CND cofounder Jan Arnold answers “No.” The product does dry out nails, but it removes polish faster than nonacetone with less product. To reduce nail contact time, soak a cotton pad with remover and let it rest on the nail for two seconds to soften the lacquer before wiping it off.
