We have a Wall of Fame, which has pictures of my clients, their children, grandchildren, and pets...everyone looks at it and wants to know who everyone is. — Kimberly Morrow, Fancy Fingers & Toes, Peru, Ind.

My favorite pieces of decor are the sinks in the nail room; they look like bowls. — Joie Christensen, XS Salon and Spa, Gilbert, Ariz.

My favorite piece of decor in the salon is a set of screens we hung on the wall to camouflage the electric box. We purchased them at IKEA and they are so cool! Everyone comments on them and they are not only esthetically pleasing, they serve a purpose. — Gina Silvestro, Gel Essentialz LLC, Cranston, R.I.

We have a lovely set of pale blue candles of various heights surrounding a vase of willow stem branches that sprout cream-colored blossoms. They are set against a brown wall with other coordinating decorative pieces of blues and creams. I just love looking at it, and it smells awesome too! — Vickie England, eNails Salon, Encinitas, Calif.

We have an antique oak kitchen cabinet from the 1890s with the original glass. It holds all of our towels and gel supplies in the bottom. Rarely does a client not mention our unique towel holder! — Susan Cap and Jeanie Wilkinson, Academy of Nail Design, Lincoln, Neb.

We actually host different artists every two months. It changes up the look of the salon every other month and is good for conversation (especially if we don’t like the current artist’s work). We recently hosted a tattoo salon’s art, which was very edgy. — Cheri Maccario, Salon Luxe, Santa Rosa, Calif.

My favorites are two wrought iron wall scone candleholders. The other piece of decor I love is my Murano pedicure chair; it’s the first thing clients see when they walk into my salon. — Berni Gordanier, Park Avenue Nail Spa, Syracuse, Kan.

I have a couple of favorites. One is a lighted palm tree that was a gift from a client. The other is a miniature juke box radio. I also have one wall painted bright orange. — Danie Craighead, Danie’s Pampered Pedicures, Heraldsburg, Calif.

I think my favorite pieces of decor are the round discs that hang from the ceiling in our reception area. They have beautiful eyes on them, and as they turn in the air depending on the angle you look at them, the eye will either be wide open or closed. They are very odd and unusual pieces. — G Elizondo, D’Hair to be Different Salon, Las Vegas

My favorite piece of decor is my collection of “ladybug stuff” that has grown thanks to my clients. I recently renovated my salon and have used the ladybugs and added splashes of ladybug red in the salon. — Sheree Strang, Ladybugs Designing Nails, Parksville, British Columbia, Canada

My favorite piece of decor would have to be the little pink dresser that I use next to my antique nail desk. I keep all of my supplies in it. With six drawers it’s perfect for keeping everything in place. It’s also not very tall so I keep my phone and my appointment book on it. — Connie Harbour, Cuticles at Diane & Co. Salon and Spa, Dallas, Texas

I must say my favorite piece of decor is a 360-degree retail shelving unit I had custom made for the salon. It has a storage cabinet on the bottom and four shelves to display items for sale. — Shannon Chomanczuk, A Polished Image, New Windsor, N.Y.
