A drum roll is just the thing to introduce this year’s winning nail mural. Rock ’n’ Roll was the theme of the remarkable 3-D mural submitted by Kazuko Tomiyama of Tokyo, who says simply that she loves classic rock. A salon owner and a tech of 12 years, Tomiyama spent the better part of two days working on the mural. The hardest part, she says, was sculpting the lead singer, particularly the arms.
