Gels: The Cure for Fall

Light Elegance has new fall colors for its P² UV Gel Polish. The formula offers strong and durable coverage, with bright pigments saturated with color that breaks down easily when soaked-off. The colors include Have A Heart, Mrs. Jack Hammer, Hot Flash, and Purple Rain.

OPI launches GelColor this fall. The gels are easily applied like traditional nail lacquer and are flash LED UV-cured in a total of four minutes (almost four times faster than standard gels).  The line debuts with 28 of the most sought-after OPI hues — along with base and top coats — to produce glossy, smooth, chip-free color. Some excellent colors for fall include Suzi Says Feng Shui, I’m Not Really A Waitress, Russian Navy, Cajun Shrimp, Bubble Bath, and Lincoln Park After Dark.

INM has a brand new line of brush-on gel polishes called ­Gelavish. The LED- and UV-cured soak-off gel offers a thin, self-leveling application that goes on just like polish, but without any odor and with excellent adhesion. The final result is a high-gloss shine with up to 14 days of no-chip wearability.

Richmond, Ontario, Canada-based Akzéntz has new colors for its Luxio line of brush-on, soak-off gel polish. CND is launching six new shades for Shellac this fall. The new colors range from soft whites to shades of blue and black and are named Zillionaire, Purple Purple, Studio White, Asphalt, Moonlight & Roses, and Hotski To Tchotchke.

En Vogue  has eight new colors for its fall gel collection. The gels offer a high level of pigment and are sure to stand out on the client’s nail. The colors are Denim, Azure, Paprika, Crantini, Cocoa Bean, Crown Jewel, Safari Bronze, and Midnight Summer.

Kinetics’ Shield Gel Polishes have four new colors for fall: High Society Pink, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blackout, and At the Copa. Shield applies just like polish but offers up to three weeks of no-chip wear. Removal takes ten minutes, after which Kinetics’ Shield gel polish can be used again immediately on the client.

Young Nails’ new colors for the Mani Q line come just in time for fall. Mani Q gives excellent retention and durability but still soaks off quickly and efficiently. The colors are Red 105, a rich neutral red with gloss finish; Purple 102, a dark brownish purple with metallic finish; Redwood 101, a deep red with gloss finish; and Brown 101, a neutral brown with gloss finish.

PNI Worlwide introduces LightSpeed, a new UV Soak-Off Gel Polish system. The astronomically themed line has a total of 18 colors along with top and base, and a light is available as well. The gels apply like polish, soak off fast, and the fall line of colors are Robo Red, Saturn, Abduction, and Rocket.

Nail Superstore’s Artisan Professional GelEfex color soak-off gels have six new colors for fall. The colors are Party Teal the End, Deep Moulin Rouge Red, Martian Metallic Red, Brownie Howie, Deep Cobalt Blue, and Persian Ruby.

Entity’s Colour Couture Soak Off Gel Enamel has a new batch of colors for fall. The soak-off gel polishes give optimum performance and are packed with pigment to really stand out on the nail. The new colors range from lustrous purples to robin’s egg white spackles and are named Paparazzi Jungle, Fashion Forward, Denim Diva, Holo-Glam It Up, Posh Pixie, and Fashion Icon.

LCN’s color gels are saturated with pigment and bond well with the natural nail to create an enhancement that really stands out. The formula will stay on well and prevent chipping, while remaining lightweight and flexible so the client has a natural feel.
