Vintage-inspired cosmetics company Bésame Cosmetics has become a star on the big screen of “The Artist,” a film set in 1927 Hollywood. It was the products’ authentic packaging that helped seal the deal to get the products in the film. The product line, which includes lipstick, cream rouge, and powder, has also been featured in the film “The Good Shepherd” and on the TV show “Mad Men.” CEO Gabriela Hernandez designed Bésame’s red-and-gold containers, which are made of gold-plated nickel. Each container, a stylized throwback to another era, takes between six months to a year of iterations before complete. The products have proven popular in salons as well, with it being the brand’s fastest-growing segment. Wholesale pricing is available.
