Nail Art

Dedicated to the infinite joys of nail art and design: handpaint, airbrush, colored acrylics and gels.

What if I can't recreate the nail art photo my client brought in?

Q.

What do I say to a client who brings in a nail art photo of a look she wants on her nail, but I have no idea how to re-create it?

A.

If I had no idea of how to recreate the design I would use my smart phone, tablet, or computer to see if I could find a tutorial. If I was still unsure how the outcome would be, I would tell my client that I will try, and if she doesn’t like it maybe I will have it figured out by next time. The main thing is to be confident in yourself and you can accomplish anything. — Sara Khalaf is a nail tech at L’esprit Salon and Spa in Livonia, Mich.
