NAILS Next Top Nail Artist S.3: Challenge #9 (Animated Swans)

INM’s Jimmy the Swan came to life this past year in a series of animated shorts. Now it’s the contestants’ turn to make nail art come alive. The Top 4 were asked to create a fantasy nail art tip that has at least one movable component. The animated portion of the nail must be INM–related.

The votes will be combined with our judges scores, the winner will receive a $500 gift certificate from INM, and one artist will be eliminated.

Entity Wins in Bulgaria

Her impressive first place win in the Gel Nails category allows her the opportunity to compete in the gel category at the World Championship in Dusseldorf, Germany, in March. The entries were judged by Vicki Peters, Denise Wright, and Debbie Doerrlamm, who looked for difficulty of design, use of color, originality, overall enhancement design, and first impression (or the “wow” factor).

I had never been to Europe before and spoke no German, but I was eager to learn everything I could about the German nail industry. Unearthing stiletto styles, licensing loop-holes, the economic recession and more, the German nail industry proved to be a fascinating player in the worldwide nail market.
