Young Nails educator G. Elizondo has perfected using shrunken-down printed images that she embeds in nail art. The images are made on her printer by her daughter, and the quality is pretty good, making current pop culture nail art an easy feat. Here she shows how she prints the images using her at-home printer. This could be a fun way to liven things up for clients. You can use your imagination as to what faces or themes they’d be interested in.

“My daughter, Jade, is the genius who figured all of this stuff out,” says Elizondo. “Searching for images is pretty easy; you can just Google Image any subject you’re looking for. Then copy and paste the image into Microsoft Office Powerpoint.

“After pasting your image, four circles and four boxes should outline your picture (if they don’t pop up, left-click the image). You will have to adjust the size of your picture to fit the nail, so left-click on one of the corner circles (the squares will morph the picture) and drag your corner toward the opposite corner of the picture (diagonally) to shrink the picture small enough, and then print them out.

“Then you embed using clear gel or acrylic, and decorate accordingly. Have fun!”
