When Lynn Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev., planned her vacation to Switzerland, she wanted every detail to be perfect, right down to her fingernails. Her nail technician, Susann Reid of Tips, Tans, and Trends found the name of a Swiss nail technician who could take care of Wilson’s needs. With the help of a telephone company translator, Reid let Swiss technician know Wilson was coming.

Wilson went to several nail technicians while in Europe. “She went to a nail technician in Lausanne, Switzerland, she got a pedicure in the French Riviera, and she had her polish changed in Austria,” says Reid. While Wilson’s nails required a little cleaning up when she got home, the European services were enough to get her through her trip.

Reid has found nail technicians in the United States for her travelling clients, but this was the first time she was asked for an international referral. It may seem like above-and-beyond customer service to some, but Reid says that it’s all part of her job. “I just made a few phone calls,” she says.
