If they aren’t already, your clients may soon be asking for the latest trend in nail shape — the “flare.” So-called because the free edge of the nail flares out wider than the bottom, the shape is especially growing in popularity throughout the West Coast (and probably heading eastward). Techs throughout the U.S. have a love-hate relationship with the flare. On the plus side, the shape offers a wider canvas for nail art and a signature look. On the downside, it looks, well, extremely fake. We’ll let you — and your clients — decide.
