She says putting several drops of cuticle oil on a coarse fingernail file and filing over the callus helps keep feet soft between pedicures. The moisturizers in the cuticle oil work well on the callus to rehydrate and replenish, and buffing the oil into the callus removes it quite easily. Wright’s clients are strong advocates of this technique, saying it’s a quick and easy way to keep callus under control, especially because it works on dry feet, making it a convenient at-home service.
