After properly preparing each nail, completely file any visible free edge Use the 80-grit tip of a Combo File to etch the entire nail plate, moving in a north and south direction. Dust and apply Balance Pre- Prime and two coats of primer: Next, apply a thin, slightly curved white line of acrylic right onto the skin where the free edge should be, leaving room between the natural nail and the acrylic free edge.

Take a ball of pink powder and place it near the cuticle area. Pat it from side to side and stroke down toward the free edge.

Be sure to hold the finger snugly from underneath as you do this to pull down any excess skin that may have built up as a result of the nail biting.

Next, using a separate container, mix a little of the pink powder with the white powder (just enough to make it cloudy). When applied, this will camouflage the area between the natural nail and acrylic free edge. Apply the ball between the free edge line that you created with acrylic and the cuticle ball. Pat from side to side and stroke down toward the free edge.

After: With 10 great-looking nails, your male nail biting client can break his bad habit.

Using the clear pink powder; place a medium-sized ball near the cuticle area and stroke down toward the; free edge. Be sure that both sides of the nail are well-covered and are thicker than normal. This will add strength to the nail. Continue holding the bottom of the client’s finger as previously instructed until the acrylic is firm enough to hold its shape.

Using the white portion of the Combo File, thoroughly shape the free edge of each nail. (Since you are nearly done with the service, remind the client that since he has 10 nice-looking nails now, he should try not to return to his bad habit.)

Thoroughly smooth the cuticle area using the same file; it is important that when the nail grows out, there is no visible sign of the acrylic. Smooth and shape the entire nail, but do not over-thin the acrylic, which will weaken the nail. Buff with the Galaxy Terminator or a snow block Apply Almond Oil at the cuticle area. Fill the pink every two weeks and perform backfills ever/ four weeks until the habit is broken.
