Soft Light, a light activated polymer system for nails, is state-of-the-art technology in nail application, nail extending and nail strengthening. Recently formulated by International Beauty Distributors (IBD), the process has been used for years in the dental profession and is now specially designed for nail professionals.

The Soft Light process starts with the Soft Light Cleanser, which removes oils and impurities from the nail. Two special primers, one for natural nails and nail tips, enhance the bonding of the gel.
The Soft Light Gel was specially formulated to a thick consistency to eliminate product run off onto the cuticle area and therefore avoid lifting. The nail professional has complete control during application; the nail will only harden when placed under the Soft Light Lamp.
The Soft Light process employs a low four-watt UV light. According to IBD, lamps of this wattage have been certified as safe by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Under the Soft Light lamp, nails harden within 60 seconds. A special design feature of the lamp identifies the area of maximum curing to ensure complete hardening of the Soft Light nail.
The Soft Light process is versatile. As an overlay, Soft Light strengthens and protects nail tips. In addition, the Soft Light process serves as a method for capping natural nails for greater strength. In sculpting a nail using nail forms, professionals will find the Soft Light process convenient and easy to use. The finished result is a hard, smooth, shiny and natural looking nail.
