With two New York City locations, Sundays nail studios offer a unique add-on to any nail treatment that allows harried clients to find their center while being pampered. The studio’s 2-in-1 Guided Meditation, a partnership with meditation studio INSCAPE, allows clients to enjoy a short, guided meditation while their hands are expertly massaged and manicured. Once the client is seated, the tech asks how she’s feeling and selects an essential oil based on the response. The client is then given headphones to listen to the short recorded meditation. Once the meditation is finished, the client has the option to continue listening to relaxing music until the manicure is complete.
Amy Ling Lin, founder of Sundays, says she was inspired to launch the program after her own experience at a meditation retreat. “I learned that we can do meditation anytime, anywhere. It is less about where you are sitting, and more about getting a moment to reconnect with yourself,” she says.
Sundays’ focus on wellness does not end with meditation. Lin also created Sundays’ vegan nail polish line, which is used in the salon and available for clients to purchase. “Our goal is to make you look good, but also feel great,” says Lin. “Our clients come to the nail studio not only for the treatment, but for a moment of relaxation and reset as well.”
