1 min to read

Effective January 1, 2019, Vermont H.684 reduces the hours of instruction for nail technicians from 400 to 200 hours. Hours of instruction are also reduced for other beauty industry professionals: Cosmetology from 1,500 to 1,000; barbering from 1,000 to 750 hours; and esthetics from 600 to 500 hours.

Effective May 21, 2018, Tennessee SB 797 authorized cosmetology, manicurist, esthetician, and natural hairstyling licensees to practice in a customer’s residence, short-term residence, or place of business.
