Now in its eight season, NAILS Magazine’s Next Top Nail Artist (NTNA) is the premiere competition within the professional nail industry. This year, NAILS is delighted to be partnering with CND to bring this challenge to life.

Contestants who enter NTNA undergo a rigorous screening process where every brush stroke is scrutinized. After carefully evaluating hundreds of intricate hand-painted looks, sculpted acrylics, brushed on gels, and an array of mixed-media. 

The finalists are competing against each other through a series of design challenges, and Challenge #5 is in and ready for viewing and voting!

Here is the challenge issued to the finalists for Week #5:

CND recently introduced the theme of Nailandia at a recent International Distributor Conference with over 60 distributors around the world. For this challenge, we invite the competitors to share their own interpretation of Nailandia. Contestants can create whatever this means to them on 10 nail tips (not on hands) using any CND mediums they’d like, so long as there is a mix of 2-D and 3-D artwork on the tips. Tips can be any length, size and shape.

In addition to your nail tips, you will upload a 5-7 minute video diary via YouTube explaining your Nailandia interpretation. We would also like to see a sampling of your 2-D and 3-D technique in the video as well. For this entry, submit a separate TikTok video showing us a technique in your final design that is not featured in your video diary. You must also include a 300 word write-up with your submission.
