Kim Patterson, owner of Artistic Nail Supply in Fairfax, Va., recycles old implements and saves her own nails at the same time. “I use cotton in the jaws of an old pair of nippers to remove nail polish from my clients’ nails. It saves the polish on my nails and keeps polish remover off my hands so my skin doesn’t dry out,” says Patterson.
