We all know summer is the busiest season for nail techs, and, between all the nail shows and events, I have to say that it's been the best summer for me. I just got back from Nail Tech Event of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, Tenn. It was so good to see many people I adore and admire, and I made few new friends.
Highlights include speaking with Kathy and Gary from Soft Landings -- they have amazing towelettes; if you haven't tried them, you must. I also loved meeting Amy Becker from Masterworks. She's so amazing with gel that it made me feel like a kid again in her class -- thanks Amy for a wonderful time.
I always tell my students: Practice makes perfect. That couldn't be any more true as I'm practicing a new technique from Amy. (If you haven't noticed, I'm always up to learn something new.)
Now moving to September, I have an exciting news...I will be in New York training as an educator for Essie! I love Essie and when I heard about a hugh-hush new product launching this fall, I had to be a part of it. I can't wait to be there. And in the middle of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week?! Ohh life couldn't get better than this.
