If clients have nicked their color, Deborah Lippmann suggests wetting the pad of your finger with polish remover. Then smooth it over the gash on your client's nail and let it dry. Next, dab — don't paint — the shade into the crack. Wait a minute, and then paint the entire nail with a layer of top coat.
If polish has stained your client's cuticle during a manicure, say goodbye to Q-tips! New solutions, like Essie's The Nail Corrector, are felt-tip markers filled with remover and a good size for dabbing off color that has seeped onto cuticles.
