L.A. Legend: Who Won and Who’s Packing Up Their Paintbrushes

Guest judge Jeff Pink of Orly said, “Excellent execution of an iconic Los Angeles landmark. You captured the spirit of LA and created a wearable style that’s aligned with Orly’s legacy of natural nails.”

 

NAILS Associate editor Sigourney Nunez said, “I loved that she painted the letters from right to left–good pro tip! The texture and dimension created in the night sky was reminiscent of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.”

 

NAILS senior editor Beth Livesay said, “Your video opening is very movie-like, which is appropriate for this challenge. Great twist on the theme! The watered-down Shellac technique is great. Torie Goes to Hollywood! Congrats on staying true to your style and fulfilling the challenge requirements.”

April, you’re a wonderful nail artist who has proven you can both illustrate fashionably and create a mean set of haute couture pink-and-whites.
