Week 5: In Unison

Unity is the food for thought in the fifth challenge of NAILS’ Next Top Nail Artist. It’s the corporate culture at Bio Seaweed Gel and the inspiration for the sponsor’s newest line called Unity All-in-One Colour Gel Polish. Contestants were asked to think about what unity meant to them, then translate their views onto a set of five nail tips. Embellishments were not allowed, but gel-polish, polish, and paint could be used.

To illustrate their thoughts and process, contestants were asked to publish a video diary for this challenge as well. We’ve posted all of the entries on the Week 5 Challenge page.

Our judges, including this week’s guest judge Hellen Luu of Bio Seaweed Gel, will be looking over the entries carefully. We hope that you too, will take part by voting for your favorite artist so that she stays in the competition.

Voting will be open until Thursday, October 8 at 11 am PST. On Thursday evening we will share who is in the top and who is in the bottom. The challenge’s winner and eliminated contestant will be announced on Friday, October 9, so make sure and check back here to get the results.
