Inspired by friends and family members who found success in the nail industry in the United States, a new generation of nail techs rises in Vietnam.
In March 2012, Miss Professional Nail vice president Mike Vo installed the first executive board of the Vietnamese-American Nail Association (VANA), a non-profit organization designed to represent the interests of the professional nail industry.
Bryan Vu and Hanna Yakavenka create nails fit for a royal ball with 3-D butterfly nail art using Gelish soak-off gel-polish and Morgan Taylor nail lacquer. The nails are inspired by Cinderella's dress and glass slippers in Disney's live-action movie.
Prompted by the desire to create her ideal salon, esthetician and nail tech Victoria Vo sold her nails-only business and opened up a full-service location just two miles away.
