Young Nails senior mentor Stephanie Fountain (@glossboss23) has been a familiar face at beauty shows around the country. For six of her 11 years as a nail tech, she has traveled with Young Nails to teach, demo, and work social media. Recently, Fountain moved to Southern California to work for Young Nails full-time as the brand’s social media coordinator. Fountain used the brand’s new Precision gel applicators and e-file to help craft the cover look. The artwork on the nails is inspired by the painting that hangs in the entryway of Young Nails’ headquarters, featuring the rebranded YN logo.

Here are Fountain’s steps for this month’s cover look:

Behind the Scenes: The Art of Precision

1. Sculpt nails using Young Nails Precision gel applicator.

2. File and shape the nails. Polish with ManiQ gel-polish Beige 102 and cure.

3. Use Mission Control gel paints in Orbit, Clash, Mega Jam, and Aura to create the brushstrokes.
