It may be December, but it’s never too early to start looking ahead, especially in the beauty business. Prepare clients for warmer months and get a feel for what will be popular so you’ll know what colors to stock in the coming season. Morgan Haile and Taylor Daniel (the names and faces behind Morgan Taylor nail lacquer) share their nail insights for spring 2015. “When we develop color for the Morgan Taylor collection, we work with Danny Haile and our strong team of professional colorists to develop a range of colors and mood boards. We draw inspiration from researching and staying on top of fashion and beauty trends,” says Haile.
Among other things, this means attending New York Fashion Week. “Working at various fashion shows with high fashion designers — Zac Posen to Thakoon — we get inspired from the colors and textures in their collections. We love observing the fashion trends and determining how those fabrics, tones, and patterns influence the nail industry,” says Haile.
Off the runway, the Morgan Taylor team looks to pop culture. “We often look toward powerful and influential women in our society who set the tone for trends to gain inspiration for color palettes,” says Daniel. For this brand in particular, spring will bring about an exciting collaboration that can’t quite be revealed yet. What you can expect to see from Morgan Taylor’s spring line are different finishes, gorgeous glitters, and stunning iridescent shades.
